Here's what we have to look forward to... Snow It'll soon be winter! The cold bite is in the air, and I can already feel my throttle thumb tingling as I wait for the snow so I can go snowmobiling! The county changes in the winter, with the blanket of snow, it's like there are new places to see, and places you think "I've gotta have a closer look here in summer"... and all the memories of childhood come flooding back.
This particular photo was taken last winter from my diningroom window. It's facing west and if you look close you can see the cow moose foraging in the bottom of the valley. The hill behiind is where I tobogganed in the winter, and where my kids now do the same. The creek is frozen and usually there is enough wind to blow off the snow so the kids can slide on the creek in just their boots as they drag their sleds to the hill for another afternoon of dodging trees at high speed with no steering... to be a kid again!
